How to Get Your Company and Products Listed in the CASE FAQ

I can post short company contact information in the monthly FAQ, and longer information in the comp.software-eng archives. The following paragraphs describe what I need.

The CASE vendor list and CASE tool list are both generated from the same (extremely simple) database from which I generate the monthly CASE tools FAQ on USENET. This limits what you can say directly: items in the FAQ have to be kept short.

The typical FAQ entry looks like:

Your company name
   product 1 (category 1), product 2 (category 2), ....
      product N (cagegory N)
   000 your street;  your town; your province/state;
      your postal code; your country; voice telephone#;
      FAX telephone#; contact_mailbox@your-Internet-site.
I generate this material, and the corresponding Web pages, from a database represented as a set of gtroff macros.

The categories were originally meant as a broad characterization of the type of tool (front end, back end, reverse engineering). They are currently totally inadequate to describe the products people want to list, so I've been allowing them to evolve into short phrases (a half-line or so) describing the product; this may not be a good idea, but it's what I'm currently doing. Many products don't currently have categories. For a list of current categories, see the index of the list of tools by category

If you want to provide longer descriptions of your products, we resort to the World-Wide Web. I can link to an arbitrary Web page from either your company name, or your product name. In the FAQ these appear as parenthesized remarks after the company name or product category:

Your company name (see http://somesite/CompanyFile.html)
   product 1 (category 1) (see http://somesite/Product1File.html)

If you don't have a Web server, I can store pages here at Queen's (until somebody starts complaining about how much space I use, I suppose).
